Holocaust Memorial Day

Every year on 27th January the world recognises Holocaust Memorial Day. In assemblies last week members of Year 12 presented a talk on the origins and consequences of the Holocaust and also reminded us that there have been more recent genocides. This has tied in with our school theme for these two weeks, that of "Tolerance".

Message from the Deputy Head

Dear Parents

School will be open as usual on Monday. It is likely that we will allow day pupils to leave from 3.30pm and send buses early again tomorrow but we will confirm this in the morning. If this causes any difficulties for you, please contact the College. We will be happy to organise any overnight accommodation should it be required. Normal routine will continue for those in College in the evening. Pupils may wear warm casual clothing (including a coat.)

Kindest regards

Rob Jones

Deputy Headmaster

Happy New Year!

Welcome back to the new term and we wish you all a very happy New Year! I hope that 2013 is a successful year for everyone. Talking of which, the boys are already hard at work preparing and taking re sit AS exams a few new A2 exams. I wish them all luck.

It is a short term (6 weeks and 4 weeks!) with a lot to squeeze in. The boys are under pressure with exams and coursework and know that we are expecting a lot of commitment and hard work over the coming months. Parents will get a chance to discuss progress at the Parents' Conference on Friday 25th January.
